To re-introduce music video and start to look at the purposes of music video production.

 

Objectives

 

Tell me about the music videos you made last year – what were the technical issues you came up against? dcreed@centralsussex.ac.uk

 

Overview of the unit structure and the next few weeks.

 

List the purposes of music videos.

 

In small groups see if you can come up with some examples which illustrate the purpose.

 

Analyse and discuss these and other examples.

 

Individually complete a grid on the purpose of music video using your own experience or those discussed in class.

 

Understand/justify why is it important to understand the purpose of music videos?
